SPIRIT GUIDES

Spirit Guides, Spirit Guides everybody on Keen talkin' 'bout spirit guides!

I've felt several around me off and on since I was young and I've got to tell you; even though they often have a much clearer perspective on things than MOST mortals they are far from infallible and they have quite a sense of humor.

One time in high school I was running with a football. My spirit guide shouted, "Cut left! Cut left!. . . Now!" So I did. Wap! I got nailed hard, blindsided, hit the ground hard and coughed up the ball. I was hurt and embarrassed. I limped to the sidelines. The coach looked at me sideways like I had rocks in my head. I looked up from the bench at the spirit. "Thanks alot" I muttered.

The spirit guide shrugged his shoulders and said, "I thought you was quicker."

I was hurt but I got the message and worked on my speed. Extra practice! Excruciating! Painful! The short term implications though were pretty brutal. When I was in high school maybe I needed that.

At some point many people encounter the "miracle" of manifestation. (seeing spirits) What this is is the VISUALIZATION of the energy of a situation that is subject to change. . .CONSTANT CHANGE. This is really the lowest of all spiritual gifts. Many people end their work on this level.

They like the thrills produced by some moronic spirit who is totally earthbound. If we were more we would not be used in this way. It's better to give this up to find real achievement in growing. Also, I want to say that people captivated by these LOW LEVEL spirits are on a level like the spirits they see and hear.

A lot of times this passes for spirituality but it's more like a DRUG THAT STUNTS GROWTH. Watching a manifestation is just entertainment. It's indulgence and in my opinion the misuse of spiritual power. Spiritual work has one purpose --- EVOLVEMENT. Growth means hard work not parlor games.

My favorite spirit guide story was told to me by friend SPIRIT DANCER. One of her good clients it seems waited for days in line to talk to a very popular psychic on Keen. When she finally got connected the first thing the psychic said was:

"X.(her spirit guide) says you drive too fast."

The woman replied. "That would be impossible! I'M BLIND!!" and hung up.

The funny thing is some psychics don't believe their own spirit guides. Here's a story I heard.

"Oh My Gawd! X. said there was going to be a BANK ROBBERY and I walked in the bank and he was right!"

I said, "If X. is your spirit guide and he told you there was going to be a bank robbery then why did you walk into the bank?"

She said, "Well, I don't always listen to him. He's not always right."

Are you starting to get the picture?

It is good to tap into your inner voice, especially when you are really stressed out and are trying to come to terms with an intense situation; to let go at any time and just observe your life. This is much better than becoming one with your anxiety and despair.

Great people throughout history have been aided by being able to step away from intense situations, observe things calmly and make important decisions. Did they use spirit guides? Well not exactly!

BUT, did you know that Abraham Lincoln had an imaginary squirrel who used to talk into his ear?; or that Ralph Bunch who helped get the U. N. started had a little umpire he imagined? Yep! And Confucius the great Chinese philosopher of 2500 years ago got advice from a man 6 inches tall. Thomas Edison had a fluffy dog with long ears and a waggily tail that he imagined gave him advice that was instrumental in creating his great inventions.
